Steve owns a 1969 “General Lee” Dodge Charger. It had always been a childhood dream of his and now – thanks to his wife Debbie – this has now become a reality!
He spent three years restoring the General Lee with the help of friends, and it was finally finished in time for the annual Lark in the Park show in Mildenhall, 2011. It has appeared at every Lark in the Park event since!
Steve and the General have also been invited to participate in the car shows on both Mildenhall and Lakenheath bases in recent years.
Steve has now been part of many couples’ special day, as they’ve chosen the General as their wedding car. The General has also been rented as a Prom car and it has been known that people have even made long trips to the area for the weekend, just to be able to have a ride in their dream car.
